The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost Mike Evans this offseason in free agency to the San Francisco 49ers. But they still have Chris Godwin and Emeka Egbuka.
Both receivers should have large roles in 2026, with Jalen McMillan and Ted Hurst bound to get some work as well. But at training camp, Egbuka left early due to an injury and was giving Buccaneers fans plenty of worry.
Fortunately, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, Egbuka should be okay, as his training camp injury is reportedly just a "minor" problem for the second-year WR.
Buccaneers get good news on Emeka Egbuka injury scare
"Buccaneers WR Emeka Egbuka's injury that cut his practice today is a toe issue that's considered minor, source says," Garafolo reports.
This injury scare came after Egbuka was rolled up on during a rep in practice, and such an issue caused Buccaneers fans plenty of grief.
But those fans and the Buccaneers themselves can breathe a sigh of relief, as this issue for Egbuka is just a minor one that shouldn't linger very long, if at all.

During his incredible rookie season, Egbuka posted 938 receiving yards on 63 receptions with six touchdowns in 17 games. He dealt with an injury for a while, but was still a very productive rookie. Egbuka even earned the Sporting News Rookie of the Year award.
He's going to be heavily relied upon this upcoming season with Evans now gone. But this injury scare was a real concern when it was first reported that Egbuka had left practice.
It's not a major problem for Egbuka, as his toe injury is only a minor problem and should be resolved by the start of the regular season in September.
