The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may have exited the 2026 NFL Draft with arguably the steal of the first round in Miami edge rusher Rueben Bain Jr., and the team holds so much confidence in the rookie that he's being compared to one Pittsburgh Steelers legend.
According to ex-Steeler and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers run game coordinator/outside linebackers coach Larry Foote, Bain is a lot like a former teammate he played with in Pittsburgh — NFL legend James Harrison.
"Off the film, if you had to bet, [Bain] is going to be a star," Foote told reporters. "The way he plays the game, he's explosive, plays with great leverage, and it's hard to block those type of guys. Back in the my Pittsburgh days, I played with a guy, James Harrison, like that."
There's arguably no bigger compliment a young edge rusher could receive than being compared to the fearsome Harrison, whose impressive resume includes a Defensive Player of the Year award, two Super Bowls, five Pro Bowls, and two First-Team All-Pro selections — likely earning him a spot in the Hall of Fame one day.
