The Boston Bruins are hoping to play much better at home in Game 6.

Boston suffered a 6-1 blowout loss in Game 4 at home to the Buffalo Sabres to go down 3-1 in the series. The Bruins played well on the road in Game 5 to force a Game 6 back at TD Garden.

Ahead of Game 6 on Friday night, forward Mark Kastelic said the team is eager to get back in front of their home fans and rewrite what happened in Games 3 and 4.

“Everyone knows kind of what happened the last time we were home, and nobody was happy with the result,” Kastelic said on Thursday. “It’s a great opportunity now to try to rewrite the script a little bit. There are a lot of different motivating factors – we want to keep playing hockey, too.

“We can’t really overthink it too much. We’ve been playing good hockey. In Buffalo, I think that was a great win for us there. Just try to build off that and just come ready to play.”

Boston is facing another do-or-die game, which defenseman Nikita Zadorov is excited about, as he believes the Bruins have played their best when their backs are against the wall.

“We are a confident group, and we always have a belief in that,” Zadorov said. “That’s why we're in the spot where we’re at right now. Same mentality as last game. Our backs are against the wall. It is do or die for us. We are excited to go out there and leave everything on the ice.”

Puck drop for Game 6 is set for Friday night at 7:30 p.m. ET at TD Garden in Boston.
