Bruins, Golden Knights linked in trade rumor with Flames' Rasmus Andersson originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.

It's looking more and more likely that the Calgary Flames will trade defenseman Rasmus Andersson.

But to whom?

A couple teams are certainly in the picture, according to insider Darren Dreger: the Boston Bruins and Vegas Golden Knights.

Apparently, a few other teams, as well.

Things can develop quickly. However, sources say 4 teams remain in the mix for Flames Dman, Rasmus Andersson. Two teams in the east and two in the west. Boston and Vegas are strong contenders. Unless there’s progress, there’s a decent chance Andersson plays today for Cgy.

The Flames play Saturday, so they'll be hoping Andersson stays healthy and ready to roll for whenever a deal materializes.

The 29-year old, right-shot defenseman can certainly be of value to a contender.

In 47 games this season, Andersson has 10 goals and 19 assists. He had 31 points last season in 81 games but already has those 29 points this season.

Andersson has also blocked 88 shots in his 47 games. He averages more than 24 minutes of ice time per contest.

He was originally a second-round pick by the Flames in 2015, and his entire NHL career has been spent in Calgary.

Whoever can land Andersson will definitely have bolstered its defensive unit.
