New head coach Todd Monken continues to build his staff, and the new Cleveland Browns head coach is interviewing another former Ravens assistant who worked with him in Baltimore last year. Tom Pelissero reports that Cleveland will interview Daniel Stern for its associate head coach position.
Stern has been with the Ravens for 10 seasons, and the last two seasons, he has been the director of football strategy/assistant quarterbacks coach. It's clear that Monken is surrounding himself with guys that he knows and has had success with during his run with the Ravens. Bringing in coaches from an organization like Baltimore, which has had so much success, is not a bad idea at all.
The biggest question remains: who will lead the Browns' defense? It is clear Monken has plans to run things back with the assistants he had with the Ravens on the offensive side of the ball. Strong offensive staff so far.
