Browns predicted by Mel Kiper, Todd McShay, and Dane Brugler to make same Cowboys draft trade originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Cleveland Browns own the No. 6 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, and with a week to go before the first round on Thursday, April 23rd, there is a lot of buzz around the Browns.
And more specifically, there is a ton of noise about the Browns swinging a trade with the sixth pick. Todd McShay of The McShay Report, along with Dane Brugler for The Athletic, and Mel Kiper Jr. for ESPN all shared their latest mock drafts a little over a week before the draft.
They all made the same exact trade prediction, with different returns. Brugler, Kiper, and McShay all predicted the Browns would trade down from No. 6 with the Dallas Cowboys, a sign that the Browns' moving down is very much in play.
Browns predicted to trade down with Cowboys with No. 6 pick by three draft analysts
McShay's mock draft has Cleveland moving the No. 6 pick to the Cowboys for the No. 12 pick in Round 1, the 92nd pick in the third round, and a 2027 second-round pick.
The Browns would move down a bit and take OT Kadyn Proctor out of Alabama with the 12th pick, and then select Texas A&M WR KC Concepcion with the 24th pick down the board.
Burgler's mock draft has the Browns sending the No. 6 pick and the 39th pick (Round 2) to the Cowboys for the 12th and 20th picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, along with a 2027 fourth-rounder.
After those maneuvers, the Browns are predicted to take Utah OT Spencer Fano out of Utah at No. 12, Concepcion at No. 20, and Toledo safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren at No. 24.

Lastly, Kiper has Cleveland sending the 6th and 39th picks to the Cowboys for the 12th and 20th picks. Almost the exact same move as Brugler's mock trade, though the Browns don't get the extra 2027 fourth-rounder from Kiper.
Kiper then has the Browns landing Proctor with the 12th pick, Washington WR Denzel Boston with the 20th pick, and Tennessee CB Jermod McCoy with the 24th pick.
Each of these prominent NFL Draft analysts has the Browns trading down from No. 6 with the Cowboys to No. 12 with differing returns. The picks wind up being roughly the same, with offensive tackle and wide receiver, along with a DB, being the first rounders.

In each of these trades, the Cowboys are making this aggressive trade-up for the same player: Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles.
It's very fascinating how all three of these analysts have the same trade predicted for the Browns to make. This is a move that should be very much on fans' radars leading up to the draft.
If three separate draft analysts are predicting such a move to happen, it's a move seemingly very much on the table for the Browns this year.
This could be a very fun first round for the Browns, as Andrew Berry might be swinging another blockbuster trade like he did last year with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
