While the opening of NFL free agency gets all the highlights and excitement, most of the time, the early signings are ones where teams have to overpay a bit. That could be true for the Cleveland Browns, but their offensive line needs were just that big. The new group is ready for the challenge of lifting the offense on its shoulders.
The Browns defense has seen minimal turnover, so far, in free agency, with LB Devin Bush off to the Chicago Bears and LB Quincy Williams signing to take his place. Williams had an engaging introductory press conference where he described his style of play in an entertaining way:

Cleveland GM Andrew Berry isn’t done adding to the stellar defense, as Friday night DT Kalia Davis agreed to terms to join Myles Garrett and company:

Davis was a sixth-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers in 2022. Last year, his third in the NFL after missing his rookie year with an ACL tear, Davis started all 17 games for the Niners. Davis contributed 28 tackles, four tackles for loss, three passes defended, and two quarterback hits last season, along with being credited for a half-sack.
With Shelby Harris, Sam Kamara, and Julian Okwara all free agents, Cleveland needed to add a little more depth with Davis.
