The Cleveland Browns still haven't won much of anything with Myles Garrett.
He just set the single-season NFL sacks record, and the Browns were still bad. Welcome to professional football on the shorts of Lake Erie in the last quarter-century.
Because of that, Garrett is a bit of a perennial trade candidate. Is this the year? How about now?
The reality is that as the calendar flips to June, a trade becomes more likely.
After June 1, the Browns could trade Garrett and split up his dead cap hit over two seasons. If they had done it earlier this offseason, the dead money would've all counted against the 2026 cap.
So procedurally, a Garrett trade is now more possible. The Athletic's Zac Jackson also wrote in a new article on Monday that it seems like a legitimate possibility.
Jackson goes so far as to lay out what it might cost.

Garrett would likely cost multiple first-round picks in a trade, at least.
"If they can find a team that’s willing to give two first-round picks plus something else of substance, absolutely," Jackson wrote. "Garrett’s value almost certainly will never be higher than it is now, and multiple contending teams might at least explore giving up future assets for a chance to get Garrett now."
Jackson then wonders if Cleveland could ask for even more:
"Would any of them actually give up three first-round picks? Or two first-rounders plus a young player the Browns covet? That’s hard to say, but interested teams have known of Garrett’s March contract modification since it happened. The biggest hurdle might be the Browns’ actually finding what they believe is maximum proper value for moving on from such a dominant player, but acquiring premium draft assets for 2027 (and potentially 2028 and ’29) would give the Browns necessary flexibility and a clearer road map in their ongoing roster remake."
Clearly, Garrett wouldn't come cheap. The Browns won't want to trade him for minimal value.
But whether or not he moves this offseason could come down to whether someone is willing to pay a steep cost.
