Anderson was a turnover machine in college, and a turnover machine in Cleveland. If he plays in AZ he will turn the ball over here too, which is what we saw last night.

Haha.. Love this quote..

Derek Anderson: vs. Texans.....13/22 for 88 yards , 1TD, 2 INTS, 45 passer rating, 4.0 YPA

It's a testament to his work ethic that he's already in mid season form.

Would you rather live in Cleveland or a fantasy land you made up in your head? I know my answer.

Anderson not only throws the ball hard but he throws the ball into traffic. I trusted KW to thread the needle but not Anderson.

It seemed like he was gettfing rid of the ball too quickly. I don't know if he's being coached to make quick reads or what, but maybe he needs to hold on just a little more, then if nothing develops throw it away.

KW was tough as nails in the pocket. Anderson needs to hang in there more too.

I don't care about the INTs. Those can be caused by a myriad of reasons including an absolute **** performance by Roberts.

It is the 4.0 yards per attempt that tells me he should never start a game for us.

Oh yeah, they have a right to laugh. Their starting QB is Jake Delhomme, they want to talk about pathetic QB's no need to look beyond their own back yard.

100%. If you cant average AT LEAST in the mid 6s, then you should hold a clipboard.

BTW Leinart averaged 7 YPA ;)

I'm just playing amateur shrink, but it seems to me that Anderson's two most glaring problems (throwing too hard and not executing outside the pocket) may simply be a function of his pressing too hard.

His career is at stake and he wants to make a great impression with the result that he's throwing uncatchable balls and making poor decisions and inaccurate throws while on the move.

It seemed to me that he settled down a bit after his first couple of series and looked more like a QB who could move his team the longer he played.

Problem is: Some guys eventually simmer down, but others unfortunately remain head cases. What's in store for DA?

I may be totally wrong (it may be wishful thinking) but that's what I think is going on here. If Anderson and his supporting cast can fix it, I think we'll be in OK shape going forward.

(But if they can't....)
