FIRST TEAM
CJ Berrios, IF, Pompano Beach senior: Berrios was the Tornadoes’ top offensive threat, leading the team in batting average (.469), RBIs (14) and OPS (1.032).
Isabel Blanco, IF, Chaminade-Madonna senior: Blanco scorched pitching with a .493 average, notching 16 extra-base hits (eight doubles, two triples and a team-leading six home runs), 34 RBIs and a 1.530 OPS.
Caitlyn Diaz, P, Somerset Academy senior: Diaz hit a team-leading five home runs (with a .338 batting average and a 1.062 OPS). Diaz also had a 2.01 ERA, striking out 188 batters in 118 1/3 innings.
Gio Gurgel, C, Coral Springs Charter senior: The Panthers’ veteran catcher led the team with 10 home runs. She had a .405 average with 21 extra-base hits, 42 RBIs and a team-best 1.452 OPS.
Adriana Layne, OF, American Heritage sophomore: Layne led the Patriots with a .406 average. She had four doubles, one triple and one home run, posting a 1.036 OPS, and also stole a team-leading 18 bases.
Janyce Leach, IF, Chaminade-Madonna junior: Leach had a breakout season at the plate, hitting .451 with eight doubles and three home runs. Leach had 28 RBIs and a 1.226 OPS.
Reese Randall, IF, Cardinal Gibbons sophomore: Randall led the team with a .518 batting average, drilling 10 doubles and three home runs, posting a 1.322 OPS. Randall also led Cardinal Gibbons with 22 steals.
Gianna Rivero, IF, Westminster Academy eighth grader: Rivero was a key part of the Lions’ lineup, leading the team with a .419 average, 20 RBIs and a pair of home runs.
Lyric Rodriguez, P, American Heritage freshman: Rodriguez was 6-3 with a 1.80 ERA, pitching 85 1/3 innings and striking out 122 batters. Rodriguez also hit .327 with three home runs.
Alyson Vincze, OF, Coral Springs Charter eighth grader: Vincze was a table-setter for the state champions, leading the team with a .473 batting average, 43 hits and 22 steals.
Courtney Wahlbrink, P, Coral Springs Charter junior: Wahlbrink went 22-2 with a 0.66 ERA, striking out 222 batters in 138 innings. She also hit .396 with two home runs and eight doubles and a 1.170 OPS.
Kennadi Wilson, IF, Cardinal Gibbons freshman: Wilson led Cardinal Gibbons’ deep lineup with a 1.376 OPS, soaring to a .488 batting average with 17 doubles, one triple and two home runs.
Gia Schirripa, IF, Cardinal Gibbons freshman: Schirripa hit .487 with six doubles and a triple, driving in 22 runs and notching a 1.149 OPS. She also stole 16 bases.
Bria Villano, IF, American Heritage senior: Villano hit .338 with a team-leading six home runs. She tied for the team lead with 21 RBIs and led Heritage with a 1.129 OPS.

CO-COACHES OF THE YEAR
Emily Estroff, Cardinal Gibbons: Estroff’s Chiefs dominated opponents during the regular season, going 26-2. Cardinal Gibbons lost to only two teams all season — a loss to Class 6A semifinalist Doral Academy and to eventual Class 3A champion Coral Springs Charter. The latter ended the Chiefs’ season in the regional final.
Mark Montimurro, Coral Springs Charter: The Panthers continued their run of dominance under Montimurro, finishing the year 23-4. Coral Springs Charter took down Cardinal Gibbons in the regional finals and Eustis in the Class 3A title game for the program’s sixth championship.
