According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Brooklyn Nets have agreed to a two-year, $18 million guaranteed contract with free agent guard Keon Ellis.

Charania added that the deal contains a full mutual option after the first season, allowing both sides to revisit the contract next summer while guaranteeing the full $18 million if either party exercises the option.

Ellis, 25, spent the first three seasons of his NBA career with the Sacramento Kings. After entering the league on a two-way contract, he worked his way into a consistent rotation role and became one of Sacramento's most dependable perimeter defenders.

Last season, Ellis appeared in 80 games, including 28 starts, averaging 8.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.5 steals while shooting 43.3% from three-point range. His combination of defensive intensity and efficient three-point shooting made him a valuable role player for the Kings.

For Brooklyn, Ellis adds another young contributor on the perimeter as the Nets continue building their roster early in free agency. At 25 years old, he fits the team's long-term direction while bringing proven NBA experience and a skill set that should translate immediately on both ends of the floor.
