The Brooklyn Nets will wrap up their NBA 2K26 Summer League schedule on Sunday afternoon when they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder at 4:30 p.m. ET at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The game will air on ESPN.
Brooklyn enters the matchup with a 2-2 record after suffering a 100-83 loss to the Houston Rockets on Thursday, a defeat that eliminated the Nets from Summer League championship contention. Houston jumped out to an early lead, and the Nets were never able to recover despite a strong performance from Egor Dëmin.
Dëmin led Brooklyn with 21 points and four rebounds, while Mikel Brown Jr. added 14 points and four assists. Dain Dainja chipped in 14 points and six rebounds, but the Nets struggled offensively for much of the game, shooting 35.2% from the field while committing 15 turnovers.
Brooklyn has alternated between dominant wins and disappointing losses throughout its Summer League schedule. The Nets opened Las Vegas with a convincing victory over the New York Knicks before falling to the Atlanta Hawks. They bounced back with an impressive 115-83 win over the Sacramento Kings, then closed out their guaranteed four games with Thursday's loss to the Rockets.
The Thunder enter Sunday's matchup as the only winless team in this year's Las Vegas Summer League, holding an 0-4 record. Oklahoma City most recently fell 97-87 to the Dallas Mavericks despite another productive outing from Brooks Barnhizer.
The Thunder have yet to find the win column in Las Vegas. Oklahoma City opened Summer League with a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers before suffering a lopsided defeat to the Golden State Warriors. The Thunder then dropped a close game to the Denver Nuggets and most recently fell to the Mavericks, leaving them as the only team without a victory in this year's Summer League.
Barnhizer, who is on a two-way contract with the Thunder, finished with 21 points, 12 rebounds and five assists against Dallas. Fellow two-way player Josh Dix has also been one of Oklahoma City's top contributors after signing with the Thunder as an undrafted free agent following last month's NBA Draft. Former Syracuse standout Buddy Boeheim has also played a consistent role in Oklahoma City's rotation.
With Sunday's game serving as a consolation matchup, there's a good chance both teams rest some of the players expected to be part of their plans next season. For Brooklyn, that could mean reduced minutes or a night off for players such as Dëmin, Brown, Wolf, Drake Powell and Ben Saraf.
That would give players like Dwight Murray Jr., John Ukomadu, Aaron Scott, and Dain Dainja a chance to play extended minutes in the final game of Summer League. Those players have spent the past few weeks trying to earn the attention of NBA and G League front offices, and Sunday's game is another opportunity to make a positive impression.
While the outcome won't affect the Summer League standings, both teams will be looking to end their time in Las Vegas on a high note. For Brooklyn, a victory would secure a winning record in Summer League, while Oklahoma City will be aiming to avoid finishing the event without a win.
