The Denver Broncos used to announce their full uniform schedule for an entire season each preseason. That changed last year when the club switched to announcing its 2025 uniform choices on a week-by-week basis.
One exception was the club's alternate throwback uniform. Last year, the Broncos announced they would wear their popular 1977-inspired throwback against the Dallas Cowboys one week before that showdown. In that same announcement, Denver revealed that they would also wear the throwback look in Weeks 10 and 18.
If the Broncos continue that trend in 2026, we won't know their uniform selections until closer to each game. But one of their matchups should be an easy decision, as DNVR's Ryan Greene noted on Twitter/X:
Denver will host the Seattle Seahawks, a former division rival, on Thursday Night Football in Week 6, and that would be a perfect opportunity for both clubs to break out their iconic throwback uniforms. Seattle, of course, played in the AFC West from 1977-2001, so it would make sense to wear that throwback uniform against the Broncos.
The NFL can make exceptions to allow both teams to wear primary colors in the same game, and this would be a perfect opportunity to do so.
