The Denver Broncos are taking a look at a host of tight ends leading up to the 2026 NFL draft.

After previously meeting with a group of tight ends including Vanderbilt's Eli Stowers, Stanford's Sam Roush and Georgia's Oscar Delp, the Broncos brought in Ohio State's Max Klare for a pre-draft visit, according to KUSA-TV's Mike Klis.

Klare (6-4, 246 pounds) earned first-team All-Big Ten recognition last fall after totaling 43 receptions for 448 yards and two touchdowns in 14 games with the Buckeyes. Before that, Klare spent three years at Purdue. NFL mock drafts have Klare projected as a third-round prospect.

In addition to Klare, Denver also set up visits with Texas A&M's Nate Boerkircher (according to the Denver Post's Luca Evans) and NC State's Justin Joly (also per Evans). The Broncos also had a virtual visit with Ole Miss tight end Dae'Quan Wright, according to Arye Pulli of Sports Illustrated.

Broncos tight end interest

Evan Engram (32 in September) is entering the final year of his contract, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Denver begin planning ahead at the position. The 2026 NFL draft will be held in Pittsburgh from April 23-25.
