Pro Football Focus recently announced its awards for the 2025 NFL season, including MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, and 18 other categories.

PFF's staff gave the award for the best individual pass blocker to Denver Broncos left tackle Garett Bolles, who is perhaps coming off his best season yet in terms of his blocking ability.

"Denver’s Garett Bolles was a serious contender for Protector of the Year after a strong campaign, leading all offensive linemen in PFF pass-blocking grade (90.8) and ranking first among offensive tackles in pressure rate allowed (3.1%)," PFF's staff wrote. "He was also the only left tackle to play at least 230 pass-blocking snaps — logging 714 — without allowing a sack."

Bolles is coming off the first first-team All-Pro selection of his career, and he was also elected to the Pro Bowl.

As for the best offensive line in football, PFF recognized Denver as far and away the best unit in the game.

"Unlike last year, the Broncos' offensive line faced several injuries in 2025," PFF wrote. "Left guard Ben Powers missed an extended period of time, while center Luke Wattenberg’s season ended early. However, the unit still performed well due to solid performances from Alex Palczewski at left guard and Alex Forsyth at center. For the second season in a row, the Broncos fielded the most efficient pass-blocking offensive line. Denver’s unit gave up 137 pressures, including a league-low six sacks, leading to an 89.5 PFF pass-blocking efficiency rating. The Broncos' line was the only unit to allow fewer than 13 sacks this season."

Denver's unit looks to continue its dominance against the team that knocked them out of the playoffs in 2024, the Buffalo Bills, in the divisional round on Saturday. If they can keep everything in front of them, the Broncos have a fighting chance of winning their first playoff game since 2015.

After the season, Bolles could be a candidate for the NFL's inaugural Protector of the Year Award. He's got PFF's support.
