Ryan Fox birdied the 72nd hole Sunday at Royal Birkdale to win the 154th Open. It was Fox's first major championship title and third PGA Tour victory.
Fox shot 62-68 over the weekend to finish at 10 under par, one clear of Players champion Cameron Young. Sam Burns, the 54-hole leader, closed in 2-over 72 to finish two back and in solo third. Scottie Scheffler (67) and Tommy Fleetwood (68) tied for fourth.
