Bear Harrison, the younger brother of Milwaukee Brewers breakout pitcher Kyle Harrison and a fifth-round draft pick this season, officially signed with the New York Yankees, according to MLB.com reporter Jim Callis.
Unlike southpaw pitcher Kyle Harrison, whose first half is one of the reasons the Brewers have the second-best record in Major League Baseball, Bear is right-handed and plays catcher, where he was a standout for Texas A&M this year.
Bear hit .294 and popped 11 homers in his junior season. He was taken 160th overall by the Yankees and signed for the full slot value of $437,200.
Kyle Harrison has a 3.01 ERA in 17 starts for the Brewers this year, though he's on the 15-day injured list.
Bear Harrison is an on-base machine, with 41 walks and 22 hit-by-pitches in 52 games with the Aggies.
He's not the only Brewers connection taken in the draft. The Brewers themselves drafted Carsten Sabathia III in the 20th round. He is, of course, the son of former Brewers pitcher and Hall of Famer CC Sabathia. Trey Ebel, the Brewers' first-round pick, is the brother of Brady, one of Milwaukee's first-round picks last year.

Adam McCalvy of MLB.com posted that the Brewers had signed a number of players already, outfielder Kyle Jones (third rounder), pitcher Ryan Oshinskie (sixth), first baseman Kellan Tom (eighth), pitcher Chase Mora (ninth) and pitcher Andrew Gaines (10th).
McCalvy also said a source indicated first-rounder Trey Ebel would be in Milwaukee at some point as early as this weekend to sign.
A video of pitcher Brady Smith (18th round) shortly after his selection sure made it sound like he expected to sign.
The Brewers often announce draft-pick signings in batches.

- Alex Overbay: The Arizona State pitcher is the son of former Brewers first baseman Lyle. He was taken by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the eighth round (pick No. 228) and has a slot value of $251,500.
