It's been more than a few months, but we've all seen this before.
During the Milwaukee Brewers' 14-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Thursday, March 26, the powerful right arm of Jacob Misiorowski was missing bats.
It only took Misiorowski four innings to set a Brewers record for strikeouts in an Opening Day game. And then he added to it.
Misiorowski allowed a leadoff home run before fanning 10 batters in the first four innings. He finished with 11 strikeouts through five innings and three walks. He also entered the record books by becoming only the seventh pitcher have 10 or more strikeouts in a first game of the season.
Misiorowski's hardest fastball registered at 101.1 mph. He gave up just two hits and had a 58% whiff rate. His dominant performance brought back memories of his debut as a Brewer last season when he didn't allow a hit in five innings.
