The Milwaukee Brewers have an opportunity to make history this season.

Never before has a team won four consecutive National League Central Division titles, which is what the Brewers will try to do as they begin spring training in the coming days at American Family Fields of Phoenix.

The Houston Astros (1997-1999) and the St. Louis Cardinals (2004-2006, 2013-2015) are the only other teams that can lay claim to Central three-peats since the division was created in baseball's 1994 realignment.

Milwaukee, which set a franchise record with 97 regular-season victories and advanced to the National League Championship Series before being swept by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2025, returns with its roster almost completely intact.

The pitching and defense once again figure to be strengths; can the offense possibly replicate its performance despite making no meaningful additions?

The competition in the Central figures to be much stiffer than in the past few seasons.

The Chicago Cubs, who fell to the Brewers in five games in the National League Division Series, lost star outfielder Kyle Tucker but are still going to be formidable after signing free-agent third baseman Alex Bregman to a five-year, $175 million contract, trading for Miami Marlins right-hander Edward Cabrera and getting ace left-hander Justin Steele back early in the year from Tommy John surgery.

The Cincinnati Reds are coming off their first playoff appearance since 2020, and boast one of the best starting rotations in baseball. And even the Pittsburgh Pirates had a surprisingly active offseason with moves to improve their woeful offense (traded for Brandon Lowe, signed Ryan O'Hearn) in hopes of better leveraging their terrific pitching staff led by NL Cy Young Award winner Paul Skenes.

Only the Cardinals, who have embarked on a wholesale rebuild, are expected to take a step back.

Against that backdrop, here is what to know about Brewers spring training for 2026.

Brewers schedule: When do players report to spring training?

Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to Maryvale on Wednesday, Feb. 11 with their first workout on Thursday, Feb. 12. Position players are scheduled to report by Monday, Feb. 16.

With the World Baseball Classic taking place in March, Brewers players who will be taking part will be reporting to Arizona slightly earlier to begin their preparations.

When is the Brewers' first full-squad workout?
