In recent days, Dane Brugler of The Athletic and Chad Reuter of NFL.com released updated seven-round mock drafts. The two draft analysts took differing paths to addressing both short- and long-term roster needs for the Green Bay Packers.

With the 2026 NFL draft arriving next week, let's take a look at the full class of picks for the Packers produced by Brugler and Reuter, comparing the two against each other:

Second round, No. 52 overall

  • Brugler: Edge rusher Dani Dennis-Sutton, Penn State
  • Reuter: CB Malik Muhammad, Texas

Both picks fill needs, but one looks far more likely than the other. Dennis-Sutton is a true box checker for the Packers at edge rusher, with impressive size, athleticism and production coming out of a Big Ten school. He's exactly what Green Bay looks for in a premium position. Muhammad, on the other hand, weighed only 182 pounds at the combine and currently ranks as the No. 93 player on the consensus big board. Muhammad is a good player, but there are probably better fits at corner in this class.

Third round, No. 84 overall

  • Brugler: CB Davison Igbinosun, Ohio State
  • Reuter: DL Darrell Jackson Jr., Florida State

Two more need-filling picks, and both make sense at this point on Day 2. Igbinosun played a ton of football on the perimeter at a premier program and could immediately compete for playing time at corner, while Jackson has valuable run-stuffing ability and could play snaps right away on the nose. One question: Would the Packers take a defensive lineman without pass-rushing potential on Day 2?

Fourth round, No. 120 overall

  • Brugler: OL Febechi Nwaiwu, Oklahoma
  • Reuter: WR Ted Hurst, Georgia State

Getting Hurst in the fourth round would be the steal of all steals, so let's throw this scenario in the "unlikely" pile. He's far more likely to go Day 2, but he's a Packers type all the way and even visited Green Bay pre-draft. Nwaiwu played a bunch of positions at the collegiate level but is likely headed for guard duty in the NFL.

Fifth round, No. 153 overall

  • Brugler: DL Tim Keenan, Alabama
  • Reuter: Edge rusher Michael Heldman, Central Michigan

Keenan is a lesser version of Darrell Jackson, but would you rather have this type of player -- a squatty, powerful nose tackle lacking pass-rush potential -- in the third round or fifth? Heldman is coming off a great final season, tested like an elite athlete and visited Green Bay before the draft, making him a tremendous fit. The fifth round might be a little rich, seeing as he's a seventh-round type for most, but this wouldn't be shocking given his profile.

Fifth round, No. 160 overall

  • Brugler: OT Dametrious Crownover, Texas A&M
  • Reuter: RB Robert Henry Jr., Texas-San Antonio

Crownover could give the Packers a developmental swing tackle, which is needed after losing Rasheed Walker, while Henry lacks ideal size but is a tremendous fit in the Shanahan-LaFleur run scheme.

Sixth round, No. 201 overall

  • Brugler: RB Kaelon Black, Indiana
  • Reuter: C Pat Coogan, Indiana

Black visited the Packers pre-draft and has the all-around skillset to be a valuable player behind Josh Jacobs, and possibly a future starter at a position where the Packers have a sneaky long-term need. Coogan isn't an elite athlete, but he would give the Packers a backup plan at center, and he likely has guard versatility.

Seventh round, No. 236 overall

  • Brugler: LB Jaden Dugger, Louisiana
  • Reuter: QB Joey Aguilar, Tennessee

Dugger is becoming a common seventh-round pick for the Packers. He's an elite athlete and a pre-draft visitor. The Packers probably need a developmental backup quarterback option, and Aguilar was one of Mark Oldacres' top fits in the draft class.

Seventh round, No. 255 overall

  • Brugler: Edge rusher Michael Heldman, Central Michigan
  • Reuter: LB Jaden Dugger, Louisiana

Two pre-draft visitors we've already discussed. Both make a ton of sense for the Packers at this point in the draft and are likely Day 3 targets for Brian Gutekunst.
