ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. has released his final mock draft of 2025, and it's a two-rounder. So who did the Indianapolis Colts come away with this time?

Let's break it all down with our instant takeaways from each selection.

Colts pick at 14: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

Tyler Warren went 10th overall to the Chicago Bears, so Kiper went with Colston Loveland to tackle the Colts' biggest need.

The Colts need more playmaking in the passing game from the tight end position, which Loveland would very much provide. He was a go-to target in the Michigan offense and can attack all levels of the field and do so in a variety of ways. That not only creates mismatch opportunities for Loveland to exploit, but others within the passing game as well.

While the tight end's ability to make an impact through the air is garnering the attention when it comes to the Colts--and understandably so--not to be forgotten about in Shane Steichen's offense is that player's ability to line up inline and make an impact as a blocker. Loveland has progressed in this area and will need to continue to do so.

"Indy has to get more playmakers in its offense. Loveland has the seam-stretching ability to make plays down the field, and he has the 6-foot-6 size to post up in the red zone," wrote Kiper.

Colts pick at 45: Jonah Savaiinaea, G, Arizona

I'm glad to see that the Colts went offensive line with one of their first two picks. Without Will Fries at right guard, there are very much unknowns at this position group for the Colts.

Perhaps Matt Goncalves is the answer. However, he played tackle in college and was a tackle during his first NFL season. There should be competition for that starting spot. In addition to that, depth along the interior and at tackle--especially if Goncalves moves inside--are needs as well.

We can talk all we want about Anthony Richardson or Daniel Jones at quarterback, but success for both starts with the offensive line. GM Chris Ballard has to get this right.

Savaiinaea played both right and left tackle at Arizona but is projected as a guard in the NFL. In 2024, he was one of PFF's higher graded pass-blockers.

"Savaiinaea has the ability and size to open running lanes for Jonathan Taylor and keep interior pass rushers off Anthony Richardson," Kiper wrote.
