WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A brawl broke out during The Basketball Tournament (TBT) quarterfinals game at Charles Koch Arena on Monday night.
The game featured alumni teams from both Wichita State University and the University of Kansas.
During the second quarter, WSU’s Rashard Kelly and KU’s Mario Chalmers got tangled up while battling for a rebound.

The brawl led to benches clearing and eight total ejections between both teams, leaving the AfterShocks and JHX Hoops with essentially no bench — just six players available for the remainder of the game.
JHX Hoops won the game 64-59 to advance to the TBT semifinals. Frank Mason hit the game-winning three to seal the KU victory.
Another scuffle broke out midway through the third quarter, followed by another altercation after the game that continued into the tunnel. No postgame interviews were held.
Mason finished with 13 points, six of which came in the Elam Ending. Zeke Mayo poured in a game-high 25 points. Jacob Hanna was also in double figures with 15.
Marcus Santos-Silva led the AfterShocks with 15 points. Marcus Keene added 13, and Corey Washington finished with 10.
JHX Hoops will now play La Familia (Kentucky’s alumni) on Wednesday in Lexington, Ky., for a spot in the championship game.
