There’s been some nasty weather in the forecast all day for metro Atlanta. It’s been threatening and threatening and threatening to roll in and finally it’s close enough to where the grounds crew at Truist Park has gone ahead and put the tarp on the field ahead of Tuesday’s contest between the Atlanta Braves and the New York Mets.
The tarp is on the field. Time check: 6:36 p.m.
Nothing official yet, but it's looking pretty clear that there will be a delay
Stay tuned #Braves

We’ll have more for y’all once the details come in but for now, anticipate that tonight’s game won’t be starting on time.
UPDATE [6:55 p.m. ET]: Well apparently the weather is fine enough at the ballpark to where the game is apparently set to start on time. The tarp is off and the players are preparing as if the game will be starting on time.
The tarp is coming off the field. Perez is now playing long toss. McLean is also throwing in the outfield with the expectation the game will start on time.

Apparently this leaves in the possibility of a one-minute delay.
If it starts at 7:16, I’ll be correct https://t.co/EqLBsQPymB
