Branden Carlson is set to leave the OKC Thunder after agreeing to a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the Portland Trail Blazers, according to a Tuesday report from ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Free agents can begin signing contracts at 11:01 a.m. CT Monday, July 6.

Carlson went undrafted out of Utah in 2024 but got an opportunity with OKC, where he began on a 10-day contract and eventually earned a two-way spot. The 7-foot center averaged 5.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.6 blocks in 11.6 minutes this past season throughout his 42 appearances with the Thunder.

OKC signed undrafted rookie Josh Dix to a two-way deal on June 24, and it extended a two-way qualifying offer to Brooks Barnhizer on Monday. Each team can have a maximum of three players on two-way contracts.
