It was another great week for one of the fastest-rising prospects in baseball: Boston Red Sox 2025 third-round pick Anthony Eyanson. The 21-year-old righty dominated in his latest start for the Double-A Portland Sea Dogs, earning himself yet another Minor League honor.

Eyanson made his second start for Portland on April 19, taking on the Double-A affiliate for the Philadelphia Phillies and continuing the dominant start to his professional career. Eyanson threw five no-hit innings in the Sea Dogs' 2-0 win. The 21-year-old struck out four batters but walked three before being pulled after just 59 pitches. According to Rotoballer's Eric Cross, Eyanson's fastball sat in the 92-94 mph. range, topping out at 95 mph On Monday night, Eyanson was named the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for his performance.

The Red Sox selected Eyanson with their third-round pick in the 2025 draft out of Louisiana State University (LSU). He made his professional debut in High-A Greenville to start the 2026 season, quickly dominating the level. In five starts for the Drive, Eyanson posted a 0.44 ERA, striking out batters at a ridiculous 47.9 percent rate.

Eyanson's incredible start to the season earned him a quick promotion to Double-A. The right-hander performed well in his first start at the level, allowing one run on three hits while striking out four and walking one across four innings of work.

Across seven starts at both levels, Eyanson has posted a 0.61 ERA, allowing opponents to hit just .106 against him, while striking out 41.6 percent of batters. After the hot start, Eyanson has skyrocketed up prospect rankings. In Baseball America's latest update to their top 100, Eyanson was ranked No. 48, while SoxProspects.com now has him as the third-best prospect in the Boston organization.

After Payton Tolle's rapid ascension through the minor league ranks in 2025, there's no telling how far Eyanson's rise through the ranks will carry him.
