The longtime sports broadcaster is known for speaking his mind, and he didn’t pass up the opportunity to poke fun at the situation surrounding the Knicks’ upcoming visit. While championship visits to the White House have long been a staple of North American sports, the tradition has occasionally become a topic of debate depending on the political climate and the sitting president.
With President Donald Trump currently in office, Esiason sarcastically joked about how excited he was to see Knicks owner James Dolan inform the team that they would be making the trip to Washington.
