Well, they proceeded his announcement with, "In the house, the NEW coach of the Phoenix Suns, Jordan Ott!!"

At least you brought home the win. Also, I'm sure you cheered.

LA clobbered us in the past. They are still a force with their bigs. Mercury defense is the best it has been in at least a decade a more.
Looks like they played NY. I was curious if half the crowd is LA fans for the Mercury home games against LA like it is when the Suns play the Lakers.

I meant NY. I was pretty tired after the game.

I was surprised to hear some cheers for NY. Not a ton, but a loud enough minority in the crowd.

Listened to a podcast, and since the NBA is raising the cap level so much, that future extensions have to be thought of as a percentage of team salary, not dollars. For example, Bookers salary will be the same percentage in his extension years as it is now. Making it a no brainer signing for the Suns because they intend to keep Booker. The podcast was saying there will be players whose extensions will raise the percentage of team salaries they make. Those will be tough for teams to make. Might be a lot of guys moved because teams don't want to sign those contracts. So the podcaster said look at the percentage of team salaries, not the dollars, when evaluating extensions.
