The game wasn't even over before everyone started looking forward to the epic Final Four matchup.
Michigan demolished Tennessee in the Elite Eight on Sunday, March 29, 95-62, to earn its first trip to the Final Four since 2018. The reward for the Wolverines?
A matchup with the only other team in the NCAA Tournament who has debatably been as convincing as them.
Arizona smashed 2-seed Purdue in the West region final on Saturday, March 28, 79-64, the same Boilermaker squad that beat Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament just a couple weeks ago.
But the Wolverines are playing like a totally different team than the one that lost on Selection Sunday to Purdue, and now Michigan vs. Arizona is the game that one everyone is circling.
Here's an early prediction for what we might see on Saturday, April 4 in Indianapolis:
WINDSOR: Dusty May told us how to win with Michigan basketball. He was right
Tony Garcia, Detroit Free Press: It's not Muhammad Ali vs. Joe Frazier, but it will be a heavyweight battle. Michigan and Arizona both bulldozed their way through their respective regionals, all setting up this moment. The Wildcats are one of the few teams that have the size, depth and skill that can match the Wolverines at every spot. But Michigan players and coaches say the team is back at its dominant Las Vegas level (assistant Justin Joyner said it started in the second half of the Saint Louis matchup). Michigan has felt all year if it plays it's A-game, it can beat anyone in the country. Arizona will certainly put that to the test. But this Michigan team, led by Yaxel Lendeborg, who has had his best month of the season, is on a mission. The pick: Michigan 86, Arizona 83.
