The Jays made a bunch of roster moves:

  • Lazaro Estrada and Davis Schneider were sent to Buffalo.
  • Charles McAdoo has been called up.
  • As has Simeon Woods Richardson.
  • Rudy Martin Jr. cleared waivers and was assigned to Buffalo.
  • Willie MacIver was DFAed to make room for Woods Richardson.

McAdoo was named International League Player of the Week. He was 13 for 28 with 4 home runs on the week. I hope he can continue that with the Jays. He’s in, playing third tonight, as tonight’s lineup is Okamoto-less, as he’s got a bruise on his knee from fouling a pitch off his knee.

Woods Richardson has a 4.07 ERA in 6 games for Buffalo. In 24.1 innings, he’s given up 23 hits, 9 walks with 20 strikeouts. Lazaro had pitched in the last three games, so he was going to get tonight off and likely tomorrow. So why give him big leaguer money?

The Jays are saying that Spencer Arrighetti’s foot issue is Morton’s Neuroma, “It is basically a skin buildup around the nerve in your foot, leading it to feel like you have a rock in your shoe.” says prominent doctor John Schneider.

Luis Urias is out ‘a couple of weeks’ with a quad injury.
