The Toronto Blue Jays needed a jolt, and they got one on Wednesday. They were down 6-0 to the Boston Red Sox in the sixth inning and in danger of extending their losing streak to five games, but they rallied and won 7-6 in 10 innings.

Daulton Varsho started the party with a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth before Alejandro Kirk followed up with a solo blast in the same frame. Anthony Santander then hit a game-tying three-run shot in the seventh before Kirk hit a walk-off single in the 10th.

Toronto is now tied with the Tampa Bay Rays for third in the AL East at 14-16. It's also two games behind the Red Sox (17-15) for second place and 3.5 games behind the New York Yankees for first.

The Blue Jays will have their rubber match with Boston on Thursday before hosting the Cleveland Guardians for three games.
