Firing this coaching staff is a lot cheaper than cutting or trading Murray.
Murray stays, Bidwill saves money.
Monti stays, Bidwill saves money.
New coaching staff could live one year with Murray considering what’s out there. It doesn’t stop us from drafting a qb that the new head coach likes especially if it’s a guy like Beck or Nuesmier that won’t cost a first round pick. Suddenly Stefanski jumps to the top of the list. Bidwill saves money.
There are no free agent qb’s out there we are all going to agree on.
Cousins? Winston? Pickett? Wilson? Please.

We fire(or reassign) Petzing. We hire Stefanski as our OC. Monti and Bidwill believe Stefanski can get Murray serviceable. We draft a qb in the second round that can sit and learn.
If it works great. If things go south early, Gannon is fired and Stefanski steps into the HC position.

The Falcons didn’t tear their roster down to the studs when he was hired. Quite the opposite. They spent money like a drunken sailor. 2 completely different approaches.
