RCB on course for a record IPL playoff victory against GT
Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) total of 254/5 against Gujarat Titans (GT) in Dharamsala is the highest total any side has ever posted in an IPL playoff fixture.
The mark they broke also belonged to GT, who had put up 233/3 against Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2 three years ago to the day, in Ahmedabad on May 26, 2023.

The defending champions are on their way to another IPL final as RCB bowlers have done a phenomenal job.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar & Co. kept GT to just 51 runs in the powerplay while picking up five wickets. Both Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill were sent back cheaply and by the 11th over, GT were tottering at 83/7.
Jacob Duffy had taken three wickets and Rasikh Dar had chipped in with two. With 172 still needed off the remaining overs, the game is more or less done as a contest.
