The Seattle Seahawks dominant performance in Super Bowl 60 over the New England Patriots resulted in a 29-13 win, taking the championship by two scores.

While the game was close for most of the night, Seattle's 20 second-half points helped them pull away with a 16-point win. That margin of victory, may be impressive, but it has some stiff competition in the category of biggest Super Bowl blowouts.

In the 1980s and 1990s, the Super Bowls saw frequent blowouts as one team overmatched the other. Those games usually included dominant offensive and defensive efforts, moreso than what the Seahawks did on Sunday night.

What is the biggest blowout in Super Bowl history?​

The biggest blowout in Super Bowl history remains Super Bowl 24, when the San Francisco 49ers beat the Denver Broncos 55-10. That 45-point margin of victory is the only time that a Super Bowl was decided by at least 40 points, and nine-more points than the second-biggest blowout on the list.

During Super Bowl 24, the 49ers were up 27-3 at halftime, as all sides of the ball dominated the Broncos. Joe Montana scored five touchdowns on 297 passing yards, while John Elway was held to just 108 passing yards and two interceptions.

The 49ers scored at least 13 points in each quarter as they dominated Denver. Montana won the last of his three Super Bowl MVPS in what might have been his best performance.
