I searched “Who do you think you are” in our USA Today photo picker, and this is what I got: “Sue Barnes and Ann Van der Linde hold up signs opposing American Classical Academy outside of the Jackson-Madison County Board of Education building before the start of the American Classical Academy Madison County Charter School Appeal Public Hearing on Thursday, September 15, 2022, in Jackson, Tenn. I think that the public school system is the best thing that the United States has going for it to carry on a democracy, separation of church and state, patriotism, everything to be a fine nation, Van der Linde said. And I don’t like having public schools denigrated by anybody who thinks that we can do it better than you.” —Generally, I dig this sentiment.

THAT’S RIGHT I DID IT!

This was supposed to go out at 10:30; instead, I had the slightly-off kind of student who just smiles blankly at you spend 45 minutes telling me about the Wikipedia pages he edited and showing me his family tree, which he makes in a geneaology editing platform.

I’m not sure what I want you to do with that information, but there it is.

And now, because I made the title of this article the geneaological “Who do you think you are?”, let’s please remember that the only correct answer to that is “I AM!”

Underrated in that for me will forever be the “THAT’S RIGHT, I DID IT!” as he’s making noises that in cartoons are usually vocalized as “razzafrackafrazzlegrrrrrr”.

Day 1 Recaps

[17] Maryland Terrapins 70, [16] Oregon Ducks 60

Oregon scored 12 first-half points. Let us never again speak of the 2025-26 Oregon Ducks. They were dogshit.

Except Nate Bittle. He’s cool.

[15] Northwestern Wildcats 76, [18] Penn State Nittany Lions 66

Northwestern allowed Penn State, a Bad Basketball Team, to hang around for far too long. That is because Northwestern is, as well, a Bad Basketball Team.

Day 2 Previews

All times CT, all games at the United Center.

[17] Maryland Terrapins vs. [9] Iowa Hawkeyes
11am | Peacock | Iowa -12.5 | O/U 134.5

Maryland’s road should end here. Iowa is a competent basketball team.

Please remember that this website is free.

[13] USC Trojans vs. [12] Washington Huskies
1:30pm | Peacock | UW -4.5 | O/U 152.5

Big game for Terry Steinbach and the Huskies as they play their way into contention for The Crown, the most prestigious post-season basketball tournament, many people are saying, possibly even more prestigious than the NCAA Tournament—I didn’t say that but I know people, good people, who did—and by the way what they’re saying about me at other websites is criminal, and it ought to be outlawed, and we’re looking into that.

[15] Northwestern Wildcats vs. [10] Indiana Hoosiers
5:30pm | BTN | IU -6.5 | O/U 141.5

I’m confused as to why the morning games are on Peacock but the evening games are on BTN.

If Indiana shoots marginally better than Northwestern, they should win this game. However, we said that about Indiana a month ago, when they let Northwestern beat them in Bloomington for the fourth straight time there and the sixth straight time overall. I’m not one to call for coaches’ firings, but if Darian DeVries allows the Nebraska football of Big Ten basketball to lose a seventh straight game to Northwestern, the Northwestern basketball of the Big Ten, I think he should receive a full dissadulation.

[14] Rutgers Scarlet Knights vs. [11] Minnesota Golden Gophers
8pm | Peacock | BTN | Minn -5.5 | O/U 136.5

I won’t, and you can’t make me.

This, astonishingly, is the open thread for today’s basketball games. Use it if you dare.
