With training camp drawing closer, we will be highlighting the one big question that faces each Indianapolis Colts' position group.
Up first are the quarterbacks, where a few unknowns lie, including whether or not the team will still trade Anthony Richardson.
But our focus for this series will be on Daniel Jones.
By all accounts, Jones is flying through the rehab process. He participated in the 7-on-7 team periods in minicamp and said that he would "absolutely" be ready for the season opener, although there are still hurdles for him to overcome.
That said, what version of Jones we see in 2026 remains to be seen.
Through 10 games, Jones was one of the hottest quarterbacks in football. Basically pick a key metric and Jones was probably ranked near the top of that list. And therefore, the Colts' offense was rolling as well, as one of the highest-scoring units during that span as Indianapolis began the season 8-2.
However, even before Jones' season-ending injury, he was dealing with a separate fibula injury, and opposing defenses did begin to slow Jones and the Colts' offense down.
What we don't know -- because Jones' season ended early -- is how he and Shane Steichen would have countered. That was never truly able to take place.
Did the two have answers? Or were opposing defenses figuring this unit out?
That's the big question facing Jones and the offense this season. After re-signing Jones this offseason, the Colts clearly believe that the success that Jones had through the first half of the year can be replicated and sustained in 2026.

Can Daniel Jones regain his early 2025 form post-injury?
