The NFL preseason got underway on Thursday in Canton, Ohio, with the annual Pro Football Hall of Fame Game.
The Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals met. Fitting because former Panther Luke Kuechly and ex-Cardinal Larry Fitzgerald are part of the 2026 Hall of Fame class.
After a scoreless first quarter, the teams split 34 points in the second 15 minutes.
Former Georgia Tech QB Haynes King was 21-of-34 overall for 180 yards and a pair of touchdown passes for the Panthers. He scored a touchdown on the last play of the game, a 5-yard run, to give Carolina a 33-30 victory.
Arizona split its QB duties between former Miami star Carson Beck and Kedon Slovis.
The game was a backdrop to the Hall of Fame induction ceremonies that will take place this weekend.
