CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Illinois women’s basketball survived an upset scare on Sunday, January 18, with a pair of late defensive stops helping the Orange and Blue to a 74-71 win over Northwestern.
Berry Wallace finished with a career-high 29 points to go along with 9 rebounds.
With Gretchen Dolan still sidelined by a knee injury, Aaliyah Guyton got the start, scoring 13 points.
Illinois held a 42-27 win over Northwestern, including a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds for Cearah Parchment.
The Illini improve to 15-4 on the season with the win.
