Wilson junior Kailani Hardy was named the player of the year in girls basketball by the BCIAA coaches, the conference announced.
Hardy was joined on the all-conference team by senior teammate Laila Jones.
Also on the all-conference team are Reading High sophomore Xiani Beatty, Exeter sophomore Addison Harper, Twin Valley senior Hailey Kilgore, Schuylkill Valley senior Elyssa Sellers and Gov. Mifflin junior Bella Super.
Wilson’s Matt Raquet was named the coach of the year after guiding the Bulldogs to the BCIAA title, their first since 2014. Wilson (26-2) will play Dallastown on Thursday for the District 3 Class 6A title and has also qualified for the state tournament.
Hardy averaged 11.4 points per game this season and Jones averaged 11.7 as the Bulldogs had a balanced scoring attack, with Laura Crocona averaging 8.7 ppg, Ryan Leaman 7.5, Jade Lee 6.9 and Violet Houck 6.6.
Beatty averaged 11.2 ppg for the Red Knights (13-11), and Harper averaged 17.9 for the Eagles (15-11).
Kilgore averaged 17.0 ppg, Sellers had a 13.9 ppg average and Super averaged 19.0 for the Mustangs, who will play Cedar Cliff on Thursday for seventh place in the District 3 Class 6A tourney. The Mustangs have also qualified for the PIAA tournament.
The teams and individual awards were voted on by the BCIAA coaches.
