Bryce Detwiler went 2 for 3 with a double, triple and 4 RBIs to lead unbeaten Gov. Mifflin to an 8-2 win over Exeter in high school baseball on Wednesday.

Detwiler had a 3-run triple in the second inning to put Mifflin up 4-0.

Billy Angstadt extended the lead to 5-0 with an RBI double in the fourth.

Exeter’s Jake Hafer had an RBI single and Brandon Weller a sacrifice fly in the fifth to cut the deficit to 6-2.

Detwiler had an RBI double in the sixth inning and Branson Adams hit a sacrifice fly to push the lead back to six at 8-2.

Detwiler also earned the win on the mound, going 6 2/3 innings allowing one earned run with 7 strikeouts before having to leave the game because of the 100-pitch limit.

Angstadt was 2 for 2 with a double, an RBI and run scored. Cam Zurawski was 3 for 3 with a run.

For Exeter, Hafer was 2 for 4 with an RBI and Carter Redding was 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored. Jake Franek was 3 for 4 with a double.

Exeter left 10 men on base.

Gov. Mifflin is 16-0, 9-0 in BCIAA Division 1. Exeter is 12-4, 5-4 Division 1.
