SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The Nebraska Cornhuskers volleyball team is still a few weeks away from beginning its season and on Thursday, a trio of players, including Sioux Falls’ own Bergen Reilly held a youth camp.
Reilly teamed up with fellow Huskers Andi Jackson and Harper Murray to help girls between the ages of 6 and 17 sharpen their volleyball skills ahead of the season.
Reilly said over 1,000 girls attended the camp across its two stops in Sioux Falls and Wednesday in Iowa, but added coming home is always a little more special.
“It’s awesome, I’ve always wanted to come back and just give back to Sioux Falls. There’s so many people in South Dakota that support me so it’s been really cool to meet all these girls, talk to them. They’re from all over South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska and Iowa and it’s been so awesome and I’m just so glad I’m able to give back to this community,” Reilly said.
In addition to the states she mentioned Reilly added some girls even flew in from California for the Iowa stop.
