Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is often widely hailed as the best No. 2 in the NFL while often being cited as a true No. 1 who just happens to play on the same team as Ja’Marr Chase.

Just don’t tell that to free-agent wideout Stefon Diggs.

During a recent video on his YouTube channel, Diggs proclaimed he’s the best No. 2 in the NFL.

“My opinion, I can compete with anybody,” Diggs said. “But take those as your ones (WR1), right? You can't name a number two better than me. There's not a number two on a team.”

Diggs just had 1,013 yards and four scores over 17 games in New England before getting released. Impressive numbers, considering he was 32 and coming off a torn ACL.

Higgins is in a different bracket when it comes to so-called No. 2 wideouts, though. He only had 846 yards over 15 games last year, but scored 11 times. He’s scored 21 times over the last two seasons and is on that four-year deal worth $115 million, so comparisons aren’t even really that fair these days.

All in good offseason fun, though. Diggs is confident and it isn’t that far off from the stuff Chase says. But Bengals fans would probably rightfully argue that the conversation about top No. 2 wideouts starts behind Higgins’ name.
