The second round of the NBA playoffs have arrived for the New York Knicks and the team will face off in Game 1 against the Boston Celtics on Monday night.
After a hard-fought and close series against the Detroit Pistons in the first round that took six games for the Knicks to win, the Celtics offer an even more difficult challenge. Jalen Brunson and company will have to bring a different level of play to move on again.
Fans are in for a treat with this series. New York and Boston do not like each other very much. They have been rivals for years in the same Atlantic Division.
Ahead of tonight's game, actor Ben Stiller took to social media to send out a three-word message about the Knicks.
"LETS GO KNICKS," he wrote in a post on X.
During the regular season, New York did not fare well against the Celtics. Tom Thibodeau's team lost all four games to their rival, with the final scores being 132-109 on October 22, 131-104 on February 8, 118-105 on February 23, and 119-117 in overtime on April 8.

There will be no shortage of star power for fans to enjoy. For the Knicks, Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns are two of the best in the game at their respective positions. As for Boston, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are both legitimate superstars as well.
Both teams also have a lot of depth. The two teams seem fairly evenly matched, although the Celtics are the favored team.
Game 1 will begin on Monday night at 7:00 p.m. ET and fans will be able to watch the game on TNT.
