It's been some year for the New York Yankees offensively, and a lot of that continues to be because of what Aaron Judge has done at the plate.

However, there have been some other guys who have stepped up in a very impressive way, including young slugger Ben Rice.

Rice has been one of the most impressive hitters in baseball to start the season, something that doesn't come as a surprise to most Yankees fans. I've been on record many times now saying that Rice needs to play, no matter who is on the mound.

The 27-year-old out of Massachusetts has the ability to flip a game with one swing whenever he's in the lineup, and he's been able to do that throughout the year.

According to the great Sarah Langs, he and Judge have made some history to start the season. Despite all of the success the Yankees have found in the past, they became the first pair of Yankees teammates with 13-plus home runs each in the first 42 games of the Yankees' campaign.

“Ben Rice and Aaron Judge are the first pair of Yankees teammates with 13+ homers each in the team’s first 42 games of a season,” Langs wrote.

I'm not sure that Rice is going to slow down anytime soon, considering what we've seen from him over the past few years.

Even if the average goes down a bit, as he's hitting .312, there's always been a lot of power in that left-handed bat. I expect that to be the case moving forward. For Judge, we already know what we're getting out of the big slugger, as he's the best hitter in the world for a reason.
