The Chicago Bears were back on the practice field at Halas Hall on Tuesday for their 12th practice of training camp ahead of Wednesday's scheduled off day.
Things weren't as intense of physical as initially teased, according to the media, and Tuesday's practice lasted just short of two hours. The offense started off strong, where running back D'Andre Swift had some nice long runs. But the defense closed the gap near the end of practice. Defensive back Cam Lewis was spotted going through individual work at practice, a positive sign as he recovers from injury. Linebacker Devin Bush also had the "play of the day" against backup quarterback Tyson Bagent.
Here are some observations, from media members in attendance, following Tuesday's training camp practice:

Mixed day for offense
#Bears practice in the books. Started off good for offense with some explosive runs from D’Andre Swift.
Slowed down after that including a poor situational drill for both offenses at the end.
Not as physical or intense as I imagined.

#Bears practice wrapped up after 1 hour, 54 minutes.
1st team offense ripped off big plays in short yardage - third and 1 - with runs of 29 and 25 yards and an 8-yard completion off a bootleg.
Defense responded to close things out in end of game scenario.

D'Andre Swift continues to shine
Bears wrapping up practice. D’Andre Swift with a couple impressive runs. Against the 2nd-team D, he cut inside, then spun back outside and found space for a 62-yd touchdown.
Another time he trucked rookie safety Dillon Thieneman.

Bears camp practice No. 11 is done:
A lot of team drills today. My biggest takeaway is that D’Andre Swift continues to shine.
He had big gains in the first two team periods, including a house call rush. If he stays healthy he could pace this offense.

Cam Lewis participated in individual work
Cam Lewis (who has more importance with the Coby Bryant news) was out here for individual work but left before the scrimmaging. Xavier Woods was the #1 safety with Dillon Thieneman.@cbschicagopic.twitter.com/gICbzd2It5

Devin Bush had play of the day
Devin Bush made the play of the day so far for the Bears defense a few minutes ago. He picked off Tyson Bagent on a play where Bagent wanted to go short and the RB kept running. Bush returned it from just outside the red zone all the way inside the opposite 20.

Jedrick Wills Jr. started with first team
Jedrick Wills started at 1st team left tackle. But Kiran Amegadjie came in towards the end of practice.
Cam Lewis left and did not return.
Devin Bush picked off Tyson Bagent. End of practice drill saw Skyler Thomas get an INT on Bagent.

Special teams drill got heated
Dontae Manning laid a big hit on Roschon Johnson in a drill at the offenses own 1. caused a fumble that Jon Rhattigan recovered.
D’Andre Swift had a nice run, Breaking a tackle from Dillon Thieneman.
Special teams drill was heated as they went 1 on 1 in blocking. Jahdae…

Goal line drill fun
The goal line drill was fun.
Biggest takeaway was that Kyle Monangai is the best goalie back on the team. He’s got great vision but reacts so well to moving blocks.
More to come.

Tony Fields II exited with an injury
Bears LB Tony Fields II exited with an apparent injury. He took the cart back to Halas from the far field.
