Bayside South names baseball all-stars, players of the year for 2026

The Maryland high school baseball season came to an end on Monday, May 25, with the MPSSAA state title games taking place. And with the end of the season arriving, the Bayside South's top players have been recognized by the conference's coaches for this year's All-Bayside South awards.

Parkside pitcher Tristan Merritt was named the Bayside South Pitcher of the Year for his performances on the mound this season. And Stephen Decatur's Landon Daniel and Rich Ferro were named the Bayside South Player and Coach of the Year, respectively, for leading the Seahawks to an undefeated season until their appearance in the MPSSAA Class 3A State Championship Game.

Here are the All-Bayside South Baseball awards for the 2026 season:

Player of the Year: Landon Daniel (Stephen Decatur)

Pitcher of the Year: Tristan Merritt (Parkside)

Coach of the Year: Rich Ferro (Stephen Decatur)
