Bayern Munich's goalkeeper woes grew again on Sunday when the Bundesliga leaders announced that Sven Ulrich is out for "the time being" with an adductor strain.

Bayern said that Ulreich sustained the injury during Bayern's 1-1 draw at Bayer Leverkusen the previous day.

Ulreich is third choice and was standing in for his first game since September 2024 because Manuel Neuer is out with a calf muscle injury and back-up Jonas Urbig is concussed.

Bayern's reserve keeper in Leverkusen was 16-year-old Leonard Prescott.

The next match is a Champions League last 16 return leg against Atalanta on Wednesday. Bayern won the first leg 6-1 in Italy and Urbig suffered his concussion late in that game.

Bayern are reportedly confident that Urbig will be fit again to play on Wednesday.
