There are several wrestling opportunities scheduled in Bay County this week, featuring a youth tournament and collegiate-level clinics led by some of the region’s most accomplished wrestlers.

On Friday, June 19, Iowa women’s wrestling NCAA champion Val Solorio will host a wrestling clinic at Smash Brothers Jiu Jitsu from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The session is open to athletes from all gyms and costs $25 per participant.
On the same day weigh-ins for the Impact Invitational 1 will be held first at Bay County Elite Wrestling Club. Early weigh-ins run from 9 to 10 a.m. for a $10 fee, with free regular weigh-ins available from 6 to 8 p.m. A final weigh-in opportunity will also be held Saturday, June 20, from 7 to 8 a.m.
The Bay County Elite Wrestling Club and All In One MMA will host the youth folkstyle tournament on June 20 at The Atlantis Event Center beginning at 9 a.m. Wrestlers from 6U through 19U are eligible to compete.
Next week, Bay County Elite Wrestling will also host a two-day camp featuring former standout wrestler Bear Siegal.
The Bear Siegal Wrestling Camp will run June 23–24 from noon to 3 p.m. each day. The camp is open to athletes ages 8 to 18 and will cost $10 a day.
Siegal’s résumé includes more than 260 varsity wins in Florida high school competition, four Florida state placings, four Florida National Team selections and nine All-American honors. He will compete at the NCAA Division I level at Bloomsburg University.
