There was plenty of drama on the softball and baseball diamonds Tuesday night, including several critical district matchups.
Listed below are two top performers, including a no-hitter, and a key storyline to come out of the results.
Stark was one errant pitch away from a perfect game Tuesday during Windthorst’s doubleheader sweep of District 9-2A foe Electra. The Trojans won both games 10-0.

Stark’s lone mistake on the mound was a hit batter. The freshman settled for a no-hitter, striking out 11 batters with no walks over seven innings. Stark lowered his ERA for the season to 1.34.
The Trojans got a standout performance on the mound in the first game of the doubleheader as well with junior Conner Schreiber tossing a six-inning shoutout, allowing just two hits and no walks with 15 strikeouts.
Schreiber is the two-time reigning Red River Diamond Dozen Pitcher of the Year and has a 0.54 ERA for the season.
HENRIETTA – The Jacksboro Tigers remained undefeated in District 7-3A with a 5-4 victory against Henrietta on Friday. The Tigers (14-3, 7-0) have won their last four games by two runs or less.
The Tigers used a four-run rally in the top of the third inning to take a 4-2 advantage. The rally started with doubles by Kase Dennis and Lochlan Pardue. Dennis took advantage of an errant throw to score on his two-bagger, while Pardue drove in a run with his. The Tigers manufactured two more runs.
Caden Frost got Henrietta within 5-4 with a two-out, two-run double in the bottom of the fifth, but the Bearcats couldn’t plate the tying run.
Harrell delivered key hits and showed fortitude in the pitcher’s circle, helping Graham to a key 6-5 victory against Glen Rose in District 6-4A action Tuesday. The Lady Blues (9-13, 4-3) are in second place in the district.
Graham trailed 5-1 after three innings but rallied to score five total runs in the fifth and sixth innings combined.
Harrell went 2 for 2 with two RBIs and a double, including a base hit in the sixth that pulled the Lady Blues even at 5-5. Jansyn Louder scored the go-ahead run on a sac fly by next batter Ruby Shaffer.
In the circle, Harrell allowed five runs – just one earned – on seven hits and a walk with eight strikeouts.
