Monti's top draftees have had a very high injury factor once they've entered the league. Other than Paris Johnson, it seems about every other player has missed significant time.
2023: PJJ-helathy
Beej- out
Garret Williams- out, IR
Wilson-funny, he was considered the injury risk but has been pretty healthy.

2024: Marv- missed time
Robinson-IR
Melton- missed time
Benson-IR
Reiman-IR
Jones-IR

2025: Nolen-been out most of year
Johnson- in and out all year

That's 2 out of 12 that have not missed multiple games. Other than Benson, and maybe Olujari, none of these guys missed much time in college or were considered injury risks (Wilson but he's worked out). That can't just be all bad luck, can it? Is the S&C staff incompetent?

Maybe the Cards training facility is THAT bad and the new one will improve things. But having 83% of your tops picks unavailable or on IR is a big problem.

I’ve been saying that as much as I like Buddy & his boys they gotta go!!! Time to bring in an entire new staff of strength & conditioning team, physicians, etc.

It’s not just this year, this has been going on with the Cards for quite some time now. A new approach, philosophy & era is needed when training the entire team.

its not just the rookies either

Justin Jones, Bilal Nichols, Jonah Williams were signed, in part, because they didn't miss games. They have missed most of the games.

do we know if the Cardinal strength / conditioning program uses some outlier method?

FWIW: I think its mostly bad luck, but am willing to consider other things

Gannon did bring in a new staff. Buddy Morris has not been Strength and Conditioning Coach since 2023. He is responsible for rehabilitation.
