After attending a Denver Nuggets game last month, Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix went to a Colorado Avalanche game with his wife, Izzy, and two teammates.
It turns out there was some strong incentive to attend the Avs game.
"'This guy said, what made you come to an Avs game?' Nix said in a video posted by the Avalanche on Wednesday. "I was like, 'Well, they gave us a chance to sit front row and be recorded by you,' I was like, 'Of course, we're going.'"
The Avs, in partnership with Pepi, seemingly gave Nix and front-row seats in exchange for being mic'd up for a video they shared on their YouTube page:
In addition to Izzy, Nix was also joined by guard/center Nick Gargiulo and offensive tackle Frank Crum. Gargiulo seemed to be the most knowledgable hockey fan of the bunch.
Nix and Co. might have been a good luck charm as the Avs beat the Dallas Stars 4-3 in overtime. After watching the Nuggets and Avs win at home this spring, perhaps Nix will visit the Colorado Rockies and Colorado Rapids later this year.
